SUMMARY:

Tilak, who lived in the town of Sungavan, was clever at studying but had a bad habit of telling lies over small things, which is why everyone called him “Clever Tilak.” One day, he found a magical blue pen that said it would only work for truthful children. Whenever Tilak tried to use the pen by lying, the ink would vanish or his work would disappear.
During an art competition, when he tried to win by lying, his painting disappeared, leaving him embarrassed. He cried and admitted his mistake—lying. As soon as he spoke the truth, the pen shone again, and his painting reappeared. After this incident, Tilak gave up lying, and everyone began calling him “Truthful Tilak.” Tilak learned, and taught others, that honesty is the greatest magic of all.

PREFACE
Every child carries a small magical world in their heart, where imaginations take flight and lessons gradually become a part of life. Stories are the key to that world—they not only entertain but also help children understand the difference between right and wrong.
"Little Tilak and the Triumph of Truth" is one such story, teaching us that success gained through cleverness or trickery is temporary, but the respect earned through honesty and truth lasts a lifetime. Tilak’s story is the story of every child who, at some point, may choose an easy path and stray from the truth, only to realize in the end that truth is the greatest power of all.
Through this book, children are presented with this message in simple language and engaging events: making mistakes is not wrong, but lying to cover them weakens us. When we find the courage to speak the truth, we not only earn the trust of others but also feel proud of ourselves.
This story also teaches children that speaking the truth is not always easy, but it is what strengthens us from within. When a child admits a mistake, they move forward not out of fear but with confidence. This confidence later becomes the strongest mark of their personality.
We hope this story will plant the seeds of honesty, self-confidence, and good values in children’s hearts. Parents and teachers are encouraged to read this story along with children and openly discuss the lessons it offers.
This small effort by MiMi Flix is a step toward enriching children’s world with better values and positive thinking.
LITTLE TILAK AND THE VICTORY OF TRUTH
AN INSPIRING STORY TEACHING THE HABIT OF SPEAKING THE TRUTH AND THE MAGIC OF HONESTY
THE BEGINNING OF A LIE
Once upon a time, in the midst of India’s lush green fields, there was an extremely charming and peaceful town called Sungavan. Truly, every corner of this town seemed bathed in golden sunlight. Sungavan was known for its prosperity, cleanliness, and above all, its lively and enthusiastic children.
Whether in the school playgrounds or the evening lanes, the laughter of children could be heard everywhere. As soon as the morning arrived, the children of Sungavan would set out with their books and bags in search of knowledge, engrossed in their studies all day. The moment the school bell rang, they would lose themselves in the world of games, fun, and laughter. Life here flowed simply, like a sweet melody.
